Submitted by: Christopher Thomas SSgt 100CS/SCSVM OK, here is the story. Bought our Vette back in 95 and got orders to England (I'm in the military). Brought the 69 over the pond with us, and love it. It's a numbers matching 350/350 4sp. Bought it off a NCRS member up in Knoxville Ill. He had owned it for quite a few years and bought it from a bank. Some guy bought it around 81 and defaulted on the loan and stuck it in his uncles garage. 10 years later the uncle tries to file for a lost title since his nephew hadn't came around in a while, and bingo, it shows up as a stolen vehicle. The bank picks it up, sells it to the guy who I bought it off of, and he does quite a bit of work to it, and gets the chance to buy his 1st corvette back off the person he sold it to years before. He loses interest in this one, and sells it to me. I bring it to England thinking I'll sell it to make a few bucks, but since me and the vette were conceived within a month of each other, I can't just sell it off now can I? Unless the price is right........I would like a 58.
