"Xanadu"

I have always wanted a Corvette but figured the insurance and taxes would be too prohibitive. While visiting relatives in Riverside, CA we took a ride around town before we left for the airport to fly back to Oklahoma. Sitting in a used car lot was this black 1974 coupe. Ok, so they never painted a 1974 Corvette black from the factory; in fact this one was originally white but I like the black. It's a numbers matching 454 car and I just had to have it.

I bought the car that day and left it with the relatives in Riverside to have it checked over. A month later, my wife flew to California and she and her brother drove the car back to Oklahoma. As I said, it's my first Corvette and I'm just having a ball with it! I call the car Xanadu 'cause it's such a dream to drive.
