I have owned this 20 year old Corvette for almost 10 years. Even though the car has had 6 different owners ( I have contacted all of them including the original owner) it still only has 39,000 actual miles on the odometer. This car is virtually all original including the original paint......I replaced the orginal water pump and added a mahogany steering wheel.....other than that it's just about as it was the day it rolled off the line in St. Louis in April 1979. It has Appliance Mags from California circa 1979......I don't know what happened to the original (I assume) rally wheels.

It's a very interesting Corvette in that it was originally ordered with only one option.....air conditioning......it has the single outside mirror and manual everything. The color is Dark Corvette Blue and the interior is black leather. The good news is that it came with a 4 spd transmission......the MM-4 tranny set-up is rare....only 4062 cars had it out of 53,807 total cars produced in 1979.

I drive the car about 2500 miles a year including an October snow storm in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The Corvette season in Northern New England is rather short but I drive it as often as I can.

I have been a Corvette fan ever since I first drove my friend's brand new '64 Roadster. Although I love the new C5 , I'll always cheerish the C3 "Shark" style body......my license plate says "MAKO 79". The sound of the Muncie 4 spd is still awesome and it's still a thrill everytime I fire up the engine.
