This is my first Corvette and my first car. I am currently 16 years old. The car is an '87, it has '85 rims on it, currently I have no mods on it, although I am about to buy a used Borla system from a friend, and the correct '87 rims from a different friend.

In the future I want to put some ZR-1 5-spoke rims on it, 17x9.5 in front and 17x11 in back, and do some engine mods, such as throttle body, K&N, headers, TPI intake system, other bolt-on's.

I bought the car at the end of January 1998. I (actually my parents helped on half) bought the car about two weeks after I got my license. When I got it there were 101,000 miles on it, in three months I have put about 6,000 more on the the speedometor (I love driving it :) ). The main reason I was "allowed" to get the car is because my parents have an '88 35th aniversary of their own, which is the white car in the background. Originally I was looking at a few 79's and 74's, but when I talked to a few people they said it would be better to go with a newer one, their reasons were for my benifit, they said that a newer one would handle alot better, accelerate nicer, and be safer.

I have autocrossed my parents '88 a couple of times, which is why I wanted better handling, and I have fallen in love with the sport. I have autocrossed mine only once so far. I have found it's alot different with a manual (Mine) than with an auto (parents), but it is still just as fun. I have also taken my car to the dragstrip, my best time so far is a 14.800, at around 2500ft, which is better than my mom and brother did in the '88, their best's were 15.25 and 15.13.

The future Corvette's I want to own include a '67 Big Block Convertable, '56 White w/red coves, 68-69 Big Block Convertable, 68-69 Small Block Coupe, and a '63 Split Window Fuelie.
