As the fourth owner of the 56,000 original miles C4, I'm truly fortunate! It looks like it has 5600 miles inside and out; with one small scratch and a few extremely small paint chips on the original paint job and minor carpeting and leather seat wear. The previous owners took loving care of it and I intend to continue the practice! I was told the owner previous to the one I bought it from took it to a dealer and said something similar to, "Fix anything on it that is or will be worn out or defective in the near future." That's one reason why it is in the shape it is now! Keeping it garaged, under cover and driving it infrequently will keep it looking and running like new, too.

A Flowmaster exhaust system was installed by one of the previous owners giving it a unique "purr" that doesn't drown out the six speaker Delco-Bose AM-FM cassette stereo sound system. The 4+3 transmission is a dream to operate! The cruise control will help keep me "off the radar screen" of the local constables. It is one of 1309 1988s that had the performance-handling package installed on it. Most of them have the sport-handling package.

I can't wait until the weather turns warmer so I can remove the blue tinted glass top and get a tan while I'm driving. The top mounts securely behind the seats for quick re-installation should the weather turn cold or damp.

My wife was surprised at how much room there was inside. When we take road trips in the near future she won't be as reluctant as she previously was to take long trips in it.

The last words out of the previous owner's mouth to me was, "Keep the rubber side down!"; sage advice I intend to adhere to!

When asked why I bought it, I answered, "Because I've always wanted a Corvette". Doesn't everyone?
