After years of admiring Corvettes from a distance, I fell head over heels for the C5 last summer. I could no longer resist.

But due to the low production numbers for the 97's, and the hot demand, I figured I wouldn't be able to find one. Fortunately, I have a friend who manages a Chevrolet dealership that specializes in 'Vettes. A week afer I called, he found one for me equipped just like I wanted.

On July 4, 1997, I became the proud owner of this Black/Grey coupe. There's no going back. I'm a 'vetter for life!
